Driven By Safety, Inc. was founded in 2014 by Rodney Stearns, a military veteran and former first responder who spent years working in the emergency room — and saw firsthand what impaired driving does to families. Those moments don't leave you. They became the mission: build technology that stops the drunk drive before it ever starts, not after the arrest, and not after the crash.
Today, Driven By Safety is a Los Angeles-based DUI prevention technology company holding multiple issued U.S. patents, including our Sober On Start™ Bluetooth technology. We designed our platforms around a simple belief — prevention works best when it's a choice, not a punishment.
That belief powers everything we build: SOBRDRIVE, the voluntary prevention system families choose for themselves, and CheckBAC, the accountability platform trusted for court, pre-trial, and fleet programs. Two platforms, one goal — getting to zero drunk-driving deaths.
